Not sure whether it is rodents, or how far it has gone? We check the attic, crawl space, roofline, and exterior, then put the findings and the plan in writing. The inspection is free.
Most people who book a rodent inspection with us are not certain they have a problem. They have heard something twice, found droppings behind the water heater, or a home inspector wrote “evidence of rodent activity in attic” and left it there. An inspection turns that into a list: what is in the building, where it is getting in, and what it will take to fix.
We are rodent only specialists, part of the Green Rodent Restoration brand, and we inspect for rats and mice and nothing else. The answer is rarely “spray something”. It is a specific gap at a specific point on the building, and finding it is the whole job.
A proper inspection walks every part of the building a rodent can reach, in the order they reach it. On a Chino Hills home that usually means starting at the top. Roof rats climb, so the roofline, the vents, and anything touching the eaves get checked first. Mice and Norway rats work from the ground, so the garage door corners, foundation vents, and crawl space get the same attention on the way down.
Inside, we look for the evidence rather than the animal. Droppings tell us the species and roughly how long they have been there. Rub marks along beams and pipes tell us the routes. Tunnels through insulation and chewed vent screens tell us where the nest is and which gap they are using. We photograph all of it, so you never have to take our word for what is in your attic.
You do not need to be sure. Any of these is enough.
Already certain it is rats or mice? Go straight to our rat removal or mouse removal page. The inspection is the first step of either.
Four questions, then a real person calls you back. No obligation.
A real person answers 7am to 11pm every day. After 11pm, send the form and we call you back in the morning.
Book a free rodent inspection. We will tell you what is in the building, where it is getting in, and whether it needs work at all.
The visit takes as long as the building needs. A single story home goes quickest, and a hillside house with several rooflines or a crawl space takes longer. The order is the same every time.
You get the findings whether or not you hire us. Before we leave you have:
If you go ahead, the plan becomes the job. The sealing lives on our rodent proofing page and the cleanup on attic cleanup. If you want the seal checked on a schedule afterward, that is our D.A.R.T. program, Drive Away Rodent Traffic.
The alternative to inspecting is guessing, and the most common guess is a bait box by the fence. It feels like doing something. What it does not do is tell you where the rodents came in, which is the only fact that changes the outcome. A poisoned rat still dies inside the wall, the gap stays open, and the next one takes the same route a few weeks later. That is why bait alone tends to turn into a monthly subscription.
An inspection finds the gap. Once you know where it is, the fix is steel mesh and hardware cloth at that spot, and the problem stops being a subscription. We do not use rodenticide at all.
An attic with rodent activity is not somewhere to send someone unprotected, which is why we do not ask you to climb up first. Our inspectors wear respirators and gloves, disturb the insulation as little as possible, and keep attic material out of the living space. Nothing is set, sprayed, or placed during the inspection, so there is nothing to keep kids or pets away from once we leave. If we recommend cleanup, that work runs under containment with HEPA filtration on a separate visit.
The attic is the one space nobody opens before closing.
Every home we rodent proof and seal gets a warranty on that work. Ask us for the terms at your free inspection.
The roofline and exterior, the attic, the crawl space and foundation, and the interior spots you point us to. We look for entry points, droppings, rub marks, nesting, and chewed wiring or screens. Everything is photographed and written up before we leave.
It depends on the building. A single story home goes quickest. A hillside house with several rooflines or a crawl space takes longer, because there is more building to walk. We do not rush it.
For the attic and interior, yes, or someone who can let us in. For a vacant property you are buying or managing, a lockbox code or an agent meeting us works.
Then we tell you that. Sometimes the noise is a bird in a vent or the house settling. You still get the written findings, there is no charge, and you have a baseline for the attic if anything changes later.
You get the findings and a written plan with an exact quote. If you go ahead, the work happens in order: trapping first, sealing once the building is empty, cleanup if the insulation is contaminated, then a verification visit.
Yes. The inspection and the written estimate cost nothing and carry no obligation. We do not quote rodent work over the phone, because the price depends on the building.
No. An inspection with us is a rodent inspection, rats and mice and the damage they leave. We do not check for or treat termites, insects, bed bugs, cockroaches or mosquitoes, so if that is your concern you want a general pest company instead.
The inspection writes the plan. These pages carry it out.
Trapping on the runways we mapped, kept up until activity stops, then the building sealed.
Every entry point from the inspection closed with steel mesh and hardware cloth.
Droppings, nesting, and contaminated insulation removed under containment, then sanitized.
We dispatch from our Chino Hills office and cover 19 cities. This page is part of our wider rodent control in Chino Hills service, and the full list lives on our service areas page.
A real person answers from 7am to 11pm every day, in English or Spanish. Tell us what you heard or found and we will get you on the calendar.
